More Great People to Hang With
On Tuesday, October 6th we hosted a regional chapter and board of directors meeting for NGPP, the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers, Inc. These are the professionals who hang wallpaper and wall coverings for a living. The local chapter President, Ed Walker, approached us to see if we would let his group come in and use our facility for a board meeting and training session. They particularly wanted to know more about how to install self-adhesive wall covering material and applying frosted vinyl to glass.
The evening kicked off with a board meeting of Chapter Presidents from Palm Springs, San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties. Also in attendance was Dave Garnett, Western Regional Director of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers. Once their board meeting ended, we began the night’s activities.
After serving a light meal and soft drinks, we began by announcing the formation of ALL WALL GRAPHICS and explained the focus of this new entity. Next we provided material samples and installation locations for them to learn how to install the self-adhesive wall covering. Each attendee was given a three-piece graphic to install to practice the techniques they had just been taught.
We ended the evening by showing them how to install frosted vinyl on glass. Each participant practiced the techniques taught to them to gain confidence in using this material in the future.
Guild members enjoyed the training, the exchange of information, and the samples they could take with them. The folks at NGPP are great people to hang with.
